This is an italic serif with a calligraphic construction and gently bracketed serifs. Strokes show clear, moderate thick–thin modulation with tapered terminals, producing a crisp yet fluid rhythm. The capitals are relatively upright in structure but consistently slanted, with elegant entry/exit strokes and open interior counters (notably in C, G, O, and Q). Lowercase forms are lively and slightly narrow, with long ascenders and a smooth, continuous joining logic typical of text italics; the italic a and e are single-storey, and the overall texture reads even and bookish at paragraph size. Numerals follow the same italic, oldstyle feel, with varied widths and curved forms that blend naturally into running text.

Well suited for italic roles in long-form typography—emphasis, citations, foreign words, and pull quotes in books and editorial layouts. It can also serve for refined headlines or subheads where a classical, literary tone is desired, especially when paired with a complementary roman serif.

The tone is traditional and literary, evoking editorial typography and classical print work. Its slanted, pen-influenced shapes feel expressive without becoming decorative, conveying refinement, courtesy, and a quietly academic character.

The design appears intended as a conventional text italic that prioritizes comfortable reading rhythm and classic proportions, bringing a pen-informed warmth to contemporary typesetting while remaining restrained and versatile.

Curves are drawn with a consistent, controlled sweep, and the serifs tend to be small and supportive rather than dominant, keeping the color light and the word shapes agile. The italic angle and modulation are strong enough to differentiate emphasis clearly while still maintaining a cohesive paragraph texture.
