The face is built from tall, condensed letterforms that sit inside chunky black rectangular tiles, with the counters rendered as white cut-outs. Strokes are sharply contrasted between thick outer masses and thin internal cut shapes, creating a carved, hollowed look rather than conventional outlines. Edges are intentionally irregular and slightly wavy, producing a hand-cut, printmaking feel with uneven sidebearings and lively rhythm across words. The result reads as a modular “label” system where each glyph occupies its own dark block, with occasional width changes and quirky internal geometry that keeps texture prominent at any size.

Best suited for display settings where the tile-based silhouette can become part of the graphic system—posters, headlines, album artwork, event flyers, and bold packaging. It can also work for short UI labels or badges when a distinctive stamped/handmade look is desired, but the busy texture makes it more effective for short phrases than extended reading.

The overall tone is gritty and playful, evoking DIY collage, zine typography, and cut-paper signage. Its roughened tiles and punched-out interiors feel expressive and a bit rebellious, with a retro display energy that prioritizes attitude over neutrality.

The design appears intended to mimic cut-out lettering punched from dark paper or ink blocks, combining a strong rectangular backdrop with organic, hand-shaped interior forms. It aims to deliver instant visual impact and a recognizable DIY texture, functioning as both lettering and ornament.

Spacing and alignment feel intentionally unsettled—tiles vary subtly in width and edge contour, and the internal white shapes don’t always center perfectly, which adds motion and character. The strong black presence creates a dense texture in lines of text, while the hollow interiors preserve recognizable letter identities.
