A high-contrast serif italic with bracketed, softly flared serifs and pronounced modulation between thick and thin strokes. The italic construction shows a consistent rightward slant, with tapered terminals and gently cupped serifs that give strokes a calligraphic finish. Uppercase forms are stately and fairly wide, while the lowercase shows more varied widths and rhythmic movement; bowls are generous and counters stay open despite the contrast. Figures follow the same italic, oldstyle-leaning feel, with noticeable variation in widths and curved entry/exit strokes.

Well suited to book and editorial typography, especially for emphasis, intros, and quotations where an italic voice is needed. It also performs nicely in literary or cultural display settings—titles, subheads, and refined branding—where its high-contrast rhythm and traditional serif detailing can be appreciated.

The overall tone is bookish and cultivated, suggesting traditional print typography with a slightly expressive, handwritten undercurrent. It feels formal without being stiff, projecting refinement and a measured elegance suitable for editorial and cultural contexts.

The design appears intended to provide a conventional text-serif italic with a distinctly calligraphic modulation, balancing classical proportions with an energetic, readable slant. Its details prioritize elegance and typographic tradition while maintaining enough openness for continuous reading.

The texture on the line is animated by strong diagonals and tapered joins, which can create a lively cadence in longer settings. At display sizes the thin hairlines and sharp transitions become a defining feature, while at smaller sizes the contrast reads more delicate and airy.
