A robust italic serif with pronounced diagonal stress and energetic, calligraphic construction. Strokes show clear thick–thin modulation with tapered joins and bracketed wedge-like serifs that sweep forward, giving the letters a continuous rightward motion. Counters are relatively open for the weight, while terminals often finish in rounded ball shapes (notably in lowercase) that add softness to the otherwise emphatic texture. The lowercase has a compact, text-oriented build with a conventional x-height and strongly angled entry/exit strokes; figures appear oldstyle and follow the same slanted, modulated rhythm.

Well suited to editorial headlines, pull quotes, and titling where a forceful italic voice is desired. It can also work for book covers and premium packaging that benefits from a traditional serif mood with extra punch. For longer text, it’s best used for emphasis or short passages where the dense texture remains comfortable.

The overall tone is classic and editorial, combining tradition with a bold, attention-grabbing italic voice. It feels literary and authoritative, with a slightly old-world, print-centric character that reads as confident rather than delicate.

Likely designed to deliver a conventional text-serif foundation expressed through a strong, expressive italic, combining classical serif cues with heightened contrast and weight for impact in display and editorial roles.

In paragraph settings the heavy weight and strong slant create a dense, lively color and pronounced word shapes. The italic is clearly integral to the design (not an oblique), with distinctive cursive forms and brisk, forward-leaning serifs that emphasize momentum in headlines and emphasized passages.
