A high-contrast serif with sharply tapered hairlines and prominent thick stems, producing a distinctly crisp, engraved-like rhythm. Serifs are bracketed and generally fine, with pointed terminals and occasional subtle flare where strokes resolve. Uppercase proportions feel classical and slightly narrow, while the lowercase shows a relatively modest x-height with lively, calligraphic modulation—especially visible in the ear of “g,” the curved terminals on “a” and “c,” and the long, elegant descenders on “g,” “j,” and “y.” Numerals follow the same contrast pattern, mixing sturdy verticals with delicate joins and thin entry/exit strokes for a refined, text-oriented color.

Well-suited to editorial layouts, book typography, and magazine text where a classic, high-contrast serif is desired. It also works effectively for refined display applications such as invitations, headlines, pull quotes, and titling where its sharp hairlines and bracketed serifs can shine at larger sizes.

The font conveys a traditional, polished tone associated with book typography and editorial refinement. Its strong contrast and sharp detailing add sophistication and a slightly dramatic presence, making it feel ceremonial and high-end rather than casual.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, literary serif voice with heightened elegance through pronounced contrast and finely finished details. It balances classic proportions with lively lowercase shaping to remain readable in text while still offering a dressy, editorial sheen.

In longer passages the face reads as elegant and airy due to the thin hairlines and open counters, while the heavier verticals keep the texture anchored. The design shows a consistent stress and careful terminal shaping that supports a classic, print-like character.
