A slanted serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and wedge-like, bracketed serifs that taper into sharp terminals. The design shows a calligraphic, slightly “brushed” rhythm: bowls and joins are smooth and rounded, while entry/exit strokes often end in pointed beaks and angled cuts. Uppercase forms feel compact and sturdy with generous curves (notably in C, G, O, Q), while lowercase shows more movement, including a single-storey a and g and a looping, cursive-style w. Numerals are similarly slanted and energetic, with open shapes and sweeping diagonals that keep the texture lively in text.

Works well for magazine headlines, editorial layouts, and book-cover titling where a classic serif voice with added motion is desirable. It can also support short-to-medium passages such as leads, deck copy, and pull quotes when a strong, dark typographic color is acceptable.

The overall tone is traditional and literary, but with enough flourish to read as expressive and emphatic. Its assertive contrast and italic momentum give it a dramatic, editorial voice—suited to statements, pull quotes, and expressive titling rather than quiet neutrality.

Likely drawn to deliver a conventional serif foundation with a more calligraphic italic character—combining sturdy, readable skeletons with sharpened terminals and swash-like details to add personality in display and editorial settings.

Stroke endings frequently resolve into pointed, teardrop-like terminals, creating a crisp sparkle at display sizes. The italic angle is consistent across letters and figures, and the spacing appears tuned for continuous text, producing a dense, dark color with clear word shapes.
