This serif face shows pronounced thick–thin modulation with smooth, bracketed serifs and carefully tapered stroke endings. Uppercase forms are stately and well-proportioned, with wide, open bowls (notably in C/O/Q) and crisp, slightly flared terminals on letters like S and T. The lowercase is text-oriented with a moderate x-height, compact ascenders, and clear joins; the a is double-storey and the g is double-storey with a rounded lower loop. Numerals appear oldstyle, mixing ascenders and descenders, and sit comfortably alongside lowercase text.

It performs well for continuous reading in books and editorial layouts, where its contrast and classic proportions support a polished page color. The font also suits formal communication—reports, academic material, and institutional branding—especially when paired with spacious leading and restrained typographic hierarchy.

The overall tone is traditional and composed, conveying a bookish, editorial confidence rather than a loud display personality. Its contrast and tidy serifs give it a refined, slightly ceremonial feel suited to established institutions and long-standing brands.

The design appears intended as a conventional, highly readable serif for text settings, using traditional proportions, bracketed serifs, and oldstyle figures to create an established, literary voice while maintaining clarity in longer passages.

Rhythm in paragraphs is even and calm, with consistent spacing and clean interior shapes that keep wordforms legible at text sizes. The italic is not shown, and the roman style here relies on contrast, bracketing, and subtle curvature for its character rather than exaggerated details.
