A sturdy text serif with subtly flared, bracketed stroke endings and a sculpted, slightly calligraphic modulation. Stems are thick and confident, with smooth transitions into wedge-like serifs and occasional beaked terminals that give corners a sharpened, carved feel. Curves are generous and round (notably in C, O, and G), while counters stay fairly open for a dark, even texture. The lowercase shows a two-storey a and g, compact joins, and a sturdy, slightly tapered t; numerals are weighty and highly legible with traditional proportions.

Well-suited to editorial typography, book and long-form settings, and pull quotes where a firm serif voice is desired. The weight and pronounced terminals also make it effective for headlines, mastheads, institutional branding, and premium packaging that benefits from a classic, authoritative tone.

The overall tone is established and institutional, blending classic bookish manners with a slightly engraved, display-ready crispness. It feels serious and trustworthy, with enough character in the terminals to suggest tradition and craftsmanship rather than neutrality.

This design appears intended to provide a robust, highly readable serif with traditional proportions and distinctive flared terminals, balancing classic text usability with enough sculpted detail to carry in larger sizes.

In continuous text the face produces a dense, confident color with clear word shapes, helped by strong verticals and distinct serifs. The capitals read particularly stately, and the punctuation and figures match the same firm, carved rhythm.
