A wiry, serifed letterform with rough, broken edges that mimic dry ink and worn printing. Strokes are relatively slim with subtle contrast and frequent tapered terminals, creating a slightly calligraphic rhythm without fully committing to a formal pen model. Proportions are compact and somewhat condensed, with a noticeably low x-height and lively, uneven sidebearings that produce a hand-set texture in text. Curves and bowls show small nicks and wobble, and the numerals follow the same distressed, slightly irregular construction for a consistent overall color.

Best suited to short headlines, title treatments, and themed packaging where texture and mood are more important than pristine clarity. It works well for horror or fantasy collateral, Halloween announcements, and vintage-styled posters; for longer passages, larger sizes and generous spacing help preserve readability.

The font projects an aged, handmade atmosphere—part old-world and bookish, part eerie and theatrical. Its distressed outlines and spiky terminals suggest folklore, Halloween, and “found” ephemera, lending text a mysterious, slightly menacing tone while still reading as a serifed display face.

The design appears intended to capture a distressed, old-print or scratchy-ink aesthetic while keeping recognizable serif structures for legible display typography. Its controlled irregularities and compact proportions aim to add atmosphere and period character to titles and branding.

Uppercase forms tend to feel more angular and emphatic, while lowercase stays simple and compact, reinforcing the low x-height and vintage flavor. The roughness is consistent across glyphs, so the distressed effect reads as intentional texture rather than random noise, especially at display sizes.
