A high-contrast italic serif with sharply tapered hairlines, fuller shaded strokes, and delicately bracketed serifs. The letterforms lean with a steady, formal rhythm and show calligraphic influence in the curved joins and stroke endings. Capitals are broad and stately with crisp entry strokes, while the lowercase is more fluid, featuring compact counters and occasional swash-like terminals (notably in letters such as f, j, y, and z). Numerals follow the same contrast and curvature, with thin connections and rounded, slightly flourishing terminals that keep the texture light despite the strong thick–thin modulation.

Well-suited to editorial applications such as magazine headlines, pull quotes, and book or chapter titling where its contrast and italic energy can read as intentional style. It can also support refined branding, event materials, and invitations when used at display sizes or in short, carefully spaced text.

The overall tone is polished and literary, projecting a sense of tradition with a stylish, expressive slant. Its pronounced contrast and crisp finishing details feel upscale and theatrical rather than utilitarian, lending a cultivated, old-world sophistication to headlines and short passages.

The design appears intended to deliver a traditional serif voice with heightened elegance through strong contrast and a confident italic posture. It balances formal, conventional proportions with subtle flourish to create a distinctive, premium texture for display-led typography.

Spacing appears open for an italic, helping the forms avoid collisions even with long ascenders and descenders. The italic construction is consistent across caps, lowercase, and figures, producing a coherent, flowing line while preserving clear serif structure.
