A refined serif with strong thick–thin modulation and crisp, tapered terminals. Serifs are sharp and often wedge-like, with subtle bracketing where strokes meet, creating a gently flared impression at many endings. Uppercase forms are stately and wide-set with generous apertures (notably in C and G), while the lowercase shows a compact, traditional structure with a two-storey a and g and a clean, slightly calligraphic stroke flow. Numerals follow the same high-contrast logic, with elegant curves and fine hairlines that keep the overall rhythm airy and precise.

Well-suited to editorial layouts, book typography, and magazine work where a classic, high-contrast serif can provide clarity and hierarchy. It also performs nicely for refined headlines, pull quotes, and brand systems that want a traditional, premium voice without excessive ornament.

The tone is formal and cultivated, evoking literary and editorial typography with a composed, authoritative presence. High-contrast details and sharp serifs add a sense of sophistication, while the open, steady spacing keeps it readable and calm rather than ornate.

The design appears intended to deliver a contemporary take on a classic high-contrast serif: crisp, efficient letterforms with elegant flare and sharp terminals that read cleanly in continuous text while offering enough sparkle for display settings.

In text, the face maintains an even color despite delicate hairlines, with clear word shapes and a balanced cadence. The diagonal and curved letters (V/W, S, Q) emphasize the design’s polished stroke transitions, giving headings a slightly dramatic, print-like finish.
