A slanted, calligraphic blackletter with crisp broken strokes and very strong thick–thin modulation. Uppercase forms are compact and ornate, with pointed wedges, notched joins, and occasional flourish-like entry/exit strokes that create a lively, handwritten rhythm. The lowercase is narrow and upright in construction but consistently italic in axis, with short extenders and a compact x-height that keeps counters tight and vertical texture dense. Numerals follow the same chiseled, high-contrast logic, with tapered terminals and stylized curves that match the letterforms.

Best suited to short, prominent text such as logotypes, headlines, posters, album or event graphics, and heritage-themed packaging. It also fits ceremonial applications like certificates, invitations, and masthead-style titling where a dense, traditional texture is desirable.

The overall tone is formal and historic, evoking manuscript lettering and traditional gothic signage. Its sharp angles and glossy contrast feel dramatic and ceremonial, giving text an authoritative, old-world voice rather than a casual or contemporary one.

The design appears intended to translate broad-pen blackletter into a stylized, italic display face with pronounced contrast and ornament. It prioritizes historic character, strong texture, and expressive caps over neutral readability in long passages.

Spacing and letterfit read as intentionally tight for a continuous “woven” texture typical of blackletter, while the italic slant adds motion and emphasis. Many strokes end in blade-like terminals, and the visual weight concentrates in bold verticals, making the line color rich and dark at display sizes.
