This serif features strongly sculpted letterforms with pronounced thick–thin modulation and sharp, wedge-like terminals. Serifs are compact and often triangular, with noticeable bracketing into stems, giving strokes a carved, chiseled feel. Capitals are stately and slightly condensed in impression, while the lowercase shows energetic, calligraphic motion—especially in the curved letters—balanced by sturdy vertical stems. Counters are relatively tight for the weight, and joins on forms like n, m, and h are firm and upright, creating a steady baseline rhythm despite the lively contrast.

Best suited to headlines, magazine display, and editorial typography where contrast and sharp terminals can be appreciated. It also fits branding and packaging that aim for a refined, upscale voice, especially when used at larger sizes with comfortable tracking.

The overall tone is elegant and assertive, with a theatrical, editorial presence that reads as premium and attention-grabbing. Its sharp terminals and high contrast add a sense of sophistication and drama, while the classical proportions keep it grounded and traditional rather than experimental.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic serif voice with heightened contrast and sculpted detailing for strong visual impact. It prioritizes elegance and authority, offering a distinctive, display-forward interpretation of conventional serif forms.

Numerals follow the same high-contrast logic, with crisp angled terminals and prominent curves that feel display-oriented. The lowercase includes distinctive ear and tail treatments (notably on a, g, and y) that add personality and a slightly swashy, decorative edge, particularly visible at larger sizes.
