A robust serif with strongly bracketed serifs and a pronounced thick–thin modulation. The proportions are broad and generously set, with open counters and rounded internal shapes that keep heavy strokes from feeling cramped. Terminals often finish with subtly flared, teardrop-like forms, and the overall rhythm favors smooth curves over sharp joins, giving the face a slightly sculpted, old-style flavor. Numerals and capitals read solid and authoritative, while lowercase maintains clear, sturdy silhouettes with consistent serif behavior across the set.

Best suited to headlines and short-form settings where its broad stance and emphatic serifs can carry the layout. It can work for book covers, editorial display, branding, and packaging where a classic, authoritative voice is desired, and where spacing can be tuned to avoid dense text color in smaller sizes.

The tone is traditional and confident, with a stately, slightly theatrical presence that recalls established print typography. Its weight and width make it feel ceremonial and emphatic, while the soft bracketing and rounded forms keep it approachable rather than severe.

The design appears intended to deliver a traditional serif voice with extra presence: wide, weighty forms for impact, paired with bracketed serifs and rounded terminals to preserve legibility and warmth. It aims to bridge conventional text-serif familiarity with a more display-forward, attention-grabbing texture.

In the text sample the heavy color creates a strong horizontal texture and prominent word shapes, making it best when generous tracking and leading are available. The letterforms show a consistent serif vocabulary throughout, with decorative finishing strokes that add character at larger sizes.
