This typeface is a serif with distinctly flared stroke endings and sharply defined, wedge-like serifs that give strokes a sculpted, chiseled finish. The color on the page is strong and dark, with clear contrast between thick main strokes and finer connections in curves and joins. Capitals are broad and stately, with rounded bowls that stay open and legible, while lowercase forms keep a compact, traditional silhouette with a relatively small x-height and pronounced ascenders. Curves terminate in pointed, calligraphic-like tips (notably on letters such as C, S, a, and g), and numerals follow the same sturdy, high-impact construction with tapered terminals and prominent vertical stress.

It is well suited to headlines, title treatments, and editorial display work where a classic serif voice with extra edge is desirable. It can also support branding and packaging that aim for heritage, craft, or institutional credibility, and works effectively in book covers or event posters where strong typographic presence is needed.

The overall tone feels editorial and classical, with a hint of theatrical drama from the sharp, flaring terminals and bold presence. It evokes traditional print typography—confident, slightly old-world, and authoritative—while remaining energetic due to the crisp, cut-in details at stroke ends.

The letterforms appear designed to blend traditional serif proportions with a more expressive, flared terminal treatment, creating a confident display face that nods to classical printing while adding sharper, more decorative stroke endings for emphasis and character.

The design relies on strong outer contours and pointed terminals, which makes it read especially well at display sizes and in short bursts of text. In longer settings the dense weight and sharp terminals create a vivid texture, emphasizing rhythm and punctuation and giving headlines a distinctive voice.
