This typeface presents a high-contrast serif construction with vertical stress and sharply tapered hairlines. Stems broaden into subtly flared terminals and wedge-like serifs, giving strokes a sculpted, calligraphic finish rather than blunt slab endings. Capitals are stately and open, with generous interior counters and crisp joins; diagonals in letters like V, W, and X remain clean and controlled. The lowercase shows clear, traditional forms with a two-storey a, a compact two-storey g, and a narrow, slightly hooked f, producing an even rhythm in text while keeping distinctive silhouettes. Figures are oldstyle-leaning in feel, with rounded forms and pronounced contrast that harmonize with the letterforms.

It performs well in book typography, magazine layouts, and other editorial settings where a classic serif voice is desired. The sharp terminals and flared stroke endings also make it a strong choice for headlines, refined branding, and premium packaging where a cultivated, traditional impression is important.

The overall tone is editorial and literary, balancing refinement with a slightly dramatic, display-ready crispness. It feels traditional and authoritative, with an elegant finish that suits sophisticated, text-forward design.

The design appears intended to evoke a classic print-serifs tradition with a more sculptural, flared finishing, combining text usability with a touch of display elegance. Its emphasis on contrast and crisp terminals suggests a goal of delivering both authority and visual sparkle in prominent settings.

The design relies on strong thick–thin transitions and pointed terminals, so it reads best when given adequate size and spacing. In longer passages, the consistent vertical emphasis and open counters help maintain clarity while preserving a polished, crafted character.
