This is a high-contrast italic serif with a distinctly calligraphic construction. Strokes show strong thick–thin modulation with sharp, tapered terminals and bracketed serifs that feel cut rather than rounded. The italic angle is pronounced, with lively entry/exit strokes and occasional sweeping tails (notably in letters like Q and the lowercase). Counters are relatively open and the rhythm is smooth, while the caps maintain a dignified, slightly narrow presence against more animated lowercase forms. Numerals follow the same slanted, high-contrast logic, giving figures a dressy, text-like color rather than a rigid, tabular feel.

Well suited to editorial typography such as books, magazines, and long-form articles where an italic voice is needed for emphasis with strong typographic personality. It also fits invitations, cultural programs, and brand systems that want a classic, elevated serif italic for headlines, pull quotes, and short passages.

The overall tone is polished and traditional, with an editorial elegance that reads as cultivated and slightly dramatic. Its slant and sharp modulation add movement and sophistication, evoking classic book typography and formal correspondence rather than utilitarian interface styling.

The design appears intended as a conventional text serif italic with heightened contrast and calligraphic energy, balancing readability with a refined, expressive tone. It prioritizes elegant word shapes and a smooth typographic cadence for literary and formal contexts.

Several glyphs show expressive italic features—curved joins, tapered arms, and generous swashes on select forms—creating a dynamic texture in word shapes. The ampersand is notably decorative, reinforcing a refined, display-friendly character when needed.
