A sharply condensed serif with extreme stroke contrast and a distinctly carved, incised feel. Vertical stems dominate, with hairline horizontals and thin joins that create crisp internal counters and a tight rhythm. Terminals and serifs frequently split or fork into small spurs, adding pointed accents along stems and at stroke endings; some letters show wedge-like beaks and subtle notches that enhance the engraved look. Curves (notably in C, G, O, S, and 8) are narrow and tall, and the overall spacing reads compact, making the texture dark and emphatic at display sizes.

Best suited to display typography such as headlines, posters, mastheads, and short titling where its forked spurs and contrast can be appreciated. It can add a dramatic, vintage edge to book covers, event materials, and premium packaging, especially in large sizes with generous tracking.

The tone is intense and theatrical, evoking vintage playbills, gothic signage, and Victorian-era print ornament. Its spurred details and knife-edge contrast give it a slightly sinister, mysterious character that feels ceremonial and attention-seeking rather than casual.

The design appears intended to reinterpret a classical serif through an ornamental, engraved lens—prioritizing vertical elegance, sharp contrast, and decorative spurs to create a distinctive, attention-grabbing display voice.

The numerals mirror the same condensed, high-contrast construction, with a particularly bold, oval 0/8 and a slender 1 and 7. In the sample text, the strong vertical stress and tight proportions create a striking headline color, while the hairlines and forked details become busy and fragile as size decreases.
