A compact, high-contrast serif with crisp, bracketed serifs and a strongly vertical axis. Strokes move from hairline-thin joins and entry/exit strokes to firm main stems, producing a clean, rhythmic texture. Capitals are narrow and stately with pronounced wedge-like serifs and tight internal counters, while the lowercase keeps a traditional two-storey a and g and a relatively straight, disciplined stance. Numerals follow the same contrast-driven logic, pairing sturdy verticals with fine curves and delicate finishing strokes for a polished, print-oriented look.

Well suited to book and long-form editorial composition where a traditional serif voice is desired, as well as magazine typography and cultured branding. It also fits formal printed materials such as programs, invitations, and certificates where contrast and refined detailing help elevate the page.

The overall tone is classical and cultivated, projecting a literary, editorial sensibility. Its sharp contrast and tidy proportions feel formal and composed, with a slightly dramatic elegance that suits serious, traditional typography.

The design appears intended as a conventional, high-contrast text serif that balances readability with a more elevated, elegant finish. Its narrow, orderly proportions and consistent serif logic aim to produce a composed page color while retaining a distinctly classic, print-centric character.

Fine hairlines and tight apertures suggest it will look best when given enough size or quality reproduction, where the delicate details can remain intact. The compact widths and consistent serif treatment create an even, structured line rhythm in longer settings.
