This typeface uses sharply tapered wedge serifs and pronounced thick–thin modulation, producing a crisp, calligraphic silhouette. Many glyphs feature compressed counters or fully collapsed interiors, creating solid black masses in round forms (notably in O/o and other bowls) that contrast with hairline stems and fine entry strokes. The proportions are condensed overall, with tall verticals, tight apertures, and occasional ink-trap-like notches where strokes meet. Curves are tense and slightly angular, and terminals alternate between sharp points and small, rounded droplets, giving the rhythm an intentionally irregular, display-forward texture.

Best suited for display contexts where its solid bowls and sharp contrast can be appreciated—posters, editorial headlines, book covers, packaging, and distinctive wordmarks. It can add atmosphere to short phrases and titles, especially in larger sizes where the fine hairlines and notches remain visible.

The overall tone feels dramatic and slightly mischievous—part Victorian poster, part storybook gothic. The heavy filled-in bowls add a sense of mystery and visual punch, while the spiky serifs and delicate hairlines contribute a theatrical, old-world flair. It reads as expressive rather than neutral, with a quirky, characterful voice.

The design appears intended to merge a high-contrast, serifed foundation with intentionally collapsed counters and ornamental terminals to create a bold, iconic texture. By turning many interior spaces into solid forms, it prioritizes silhouette and mood over conventional text legibility, aiming for memorable, vintage-leaning display impact.

The filled or nearly filled counters make round letters read as bold shapes at small sizes, while the hairline details become more apparent in larger settings. Spacing and stroke behavior vary across glyphs, which reinforces an eclectic, handmade impression when set in words and lines of text.
