This serif italic shows pronounced diagonal stress with clearly modulated thick–thin strokes and tapered, bracketed serifs. Forms are compact and slightly condensed in feel, with energetic entry and exit strokes that create a lively, slanted rhythm. Curves are smooth and controlled, counters are moderately open, and terminals often finish in sharp wedges or subtle teardrops, giving the design a crisp, traditional texture. Numerals follow the same italic, high-contrast logic with elegant curves and strong vertical emphasis.

Well-suited to editorial settings such as magazine features, book interiors, and long-form reading where an expressive italic is needed for emphasis, quotations, or secondary hierarchy. It can also serve effectively in refined headlines and titling when a traditional, high-contrast serif voice is desired.

The overall tone is classic and literary, with a polished, old-style warmth that reads as formal and cultivated. Its pronounced italic movement adds a sense of rhetoric and emphasis, making text feel expressive without becoming decorative.

The font appears intended as a conventional text serif italic with a distinctly calligraphic slant, designed to provide clear emphasis and elegant texture while remaining appropriate for extended reading. Its controlled contrast and bracketed serifs suggest a focus on familiar, bookish typography rather than overt stylistic novelty.

In continuous text the strong contrast and sharp terminals create a pronounced typographic color, while the italic slant and compact proportions keep lines feeling quick and purposeful. The design’s consistent calligraphic cues help maintain coherence across capitals, lowercase, and figures.
