A robust italic serif with pronounced bracketing and compact, wedge-like serifs. Strokes show moderate contrast with slightly tapered terminals and a consistent rightward slant that creates forward motion. Curves are full and sturdy (notably in O/C/G), while joins and crotches are deeply cut, giving counters a sculpted, ink-friendly look. The lowercase has a single-storey a and g, rounded bowls, and a relatively narrow aperture in letters like e, producing a dense, rhythmic texture. Numerals are similarly weighty and slanted, with clear old-style influence in their rounded forms and strong foot serifs.

Best suited to display-forward settings where the slanted, weighty texture can carry emphasis—headlines, subheads, pull quotes, posters, and brand statements. It can also work for short editorial passages or captions when a traditional serif voice is desired with extra momentum and presence.

The overall tone is confident and emphatic, combining classic bookish cues with a punchy, fast-leaning attitude. It feels formal enough for editorial use, yet lively and slightly theatrical due to the strong slant, sharp serifs, and dynamic rhythm.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional serif reading voice in an italic, but with amplified weight and energetic movement for strong emphasis. Its bracketing, carved joins, and sturdy proportions suggest a focus on solid reproduction and a distinctive, punchy editorial character.

Capitals are broad and stable, with noticeable flare at stroke ends and prominent diagonal stress in letters like A, V, W, and Y. Spacing appears relatively tight in text, and the heavy italic angle makes word shapes strongly directional, which can be a benefit in headlines and callouts.
