A sturdy slab-serif with compact, mostly monolinear strokes and moderate contrast, shaped with pronounced rectangular serifs and firm terminals. The letterforms are upright with a steady, traditional skeleton, but the contours are intentionally roughened: edges show chipping, nicks, and uneven inking that creates a worn print texture. Counters remain fairly open and the overall spacing feels practical rather than airy, giving text a dense, poster-like presence. Numerals match the same robust construction and inherit the same distressed edge behavior for consistent color across lines.

Best suited to display uses where the worn texture can be appreciated—posters, product packaging, labels, and bold editorial headlines. It can also work for short passages in themed settings, such as signage or period-inspired layouts, when a rugged printed feel is desired.

The texture and slab-serif structure combine to suggest age, utility, and physical printing—like ink pressed onto paper with slight degradation. It reads as confident and hands-on, conveying a workshop, frontier, or archival ephemera mood rather than a polished corporate tone.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic slab-serif foundation with an added layer of print distress, evoking aged letterpress or weathered signage. The goal is a dependable, legible structure that still communicates tactile imperfection and atmosphere.

The distressing appears distributed across stems, bowls, and serifs, producing a consistent ‘ink wear’ effect rather than random deformation. At larger sizes the rough detail becomes a key character trait; at smaller sizes it may visually thicken and create a darker, more granular texture in paragraphs.
