A compact blackletter with tightly drawn proportions and a strongly vertical stance. Strokes are built from broken, angular segments with sharp joins and faceted curves, producing the characteristic “fractured” rhythm across words. Weight is dark and even enough to read as solid at display sizes, while interior counters stay relatively small and geometric. Terminals tend toward pointed or diamond-like finishes, and capitals are more ornate with additional interior cuts and spur details that increase texture and presence.

Best suited for display applications where texture and atmosphere are desired: headlines, posters, brand marks, labels, and themed packaging. It can also work for certificate-like pieces and short emphatic lines where the dense blackletter color becomes a design feature. For longer paragraphs, it will be most comfortable at larger sizes with generous line spacing to avoid overwhelming texture.

The font conveys a medieval, formal tone with a stern, traditional gravitas. Its dark color and sharp construction feel ceremonial and authoritative, evoking historic documents, crests, and old-world signage. Overall, it reads as dramatic and emphatic rather than casual or friendly.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic blackletter voice with strong word-shape patterning and high visual impact. Its compact widths and crisp, faceted construction suggest a focus on headline legibility and a traditional, historic feel, with capitals designed to provide extra ornament and authority.

The alphabet shows consistent vertical stress and repeated modular shapes, which creates a strong patterning effect in text. Uppercase forms are notably more elaborate than lowercase, increasing hierarchy in headlines. Numerals follow the same angular, carved aesthetic, blending well with letterforms in titling and poster-style settings.
