This serif shows pronounced stroke contrast with crisp hairlines and fuller vertical stems, creating a distinctly sharp light–dark rhythm. Serifs are bracketed and finely cut, with tapered terminals and a generally vertical stress in the round letters. Proportions feel balanced and traditional, with moderate ascenders and descenders and clear, open counters; the lowercase has a compact, text-friendly build while capitals carry a stately presence. Numerals appear lining and similarly high-contrast, with elegant curves and clean, controlled joins.

Well suited to long-form reading in books and literary publishing, and also strong for magazine typography where contrast can add sophistication. It can serve as a high-end display serif for headlines, branding, and formal collateral such as invitations or programs, especially at sizes where the fine hairlines can remain visible.

The overall tone is classical and composed, evoking book typography and established editorial voices. Its high contrast and sharp detailing add a sense of refinement and authority, reading as polished and somewhat ceremonious rather than casual.

The design appears intended as a conventional, high-contrast text serif with an elevated, editorial character—combining traditional proportions with crisp detailing to deliver a refined reading texture and confident headline presence.

In larger sizes the thin strokes and delicate serifs become a defining feature, giving the face a bright, engraved-like crispness. The rhythm across words is steady and conventional, with familiar serif forms that prioritize clarity and typographic tradition.
