A high-contrast serif with sharp, tapered terminals and subtly flared stroke endings that give stems a carved, calligraphic feel. Serifs are fine and bracketed, with pronounced triangular wedge shapes in places, producing a crisp silhouette and clear vertical emphasis. Proportions are compact and tall, with narrow letterforms, small internal counters, and a lively rhythm from the strong thick–thin modulation. The lowercase shows a traditional book-face structure with a two-storey a and g, and numerals follow the same elegant contrast and tapering, keeping a consistent texture across text and display sizes.

Best suited to editorial applications where elegance and contrast are assets: magazine typography, book jackets, section heads, and refined headline systems. It can also work for pull quotes, cultural branding, and packaging that benefits from a classic, high-end voice, especially when set with comfortable tracking and line spacing.

The overall tone is cultured and editorial—polished, classic, and slightly dramatic due to the strong contrast and sharp finishing details. It reads as confident and formal, with an old-style refinement that feels suited to premium typography rather than utilitarian UI work.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic serif voice with heightened contrast and flared, tapered finishing—aiming for a refined page texture and a distinctive, sharp profile in display settings.

In continuous text the tight proportions and pronounced contrast create a dense, sophisticated color, while the pointed terminals and flaring add sparkle at larger sizes. The shapes feel disciplined and traditional, with just enough sharpness in joins and serifs to add personality without becoming ornamental.
