A high-contrast italic serif with sharp, finely tapered hairlines and sturdy vertical stems. Serifs are bracketed and neatly cut, with a crisp, engraved feel and a pronounced rightward slant. The lowercase shows a traditional italic construction with single-storey forms (notably a and g), compact joins, and a lively rhythm; ascenders are tall and slim, and counters stay relatively open despite the contrast. Capitals are stately and slightly narrower in feel, with clean wedge-like terminals and strong vertical emphasis, while figures follow the same italic stress and calligraphic modulation.

Well suited to editorial typography where an italic voice is needed—introductions, pull quotes, captions, and emphasis within serif text. At larger sizes it can serve as a refined display italic for headlines, cultural branding, event materials, and formal invitations where contrast and elegance are desirable.

The overall tone is classic and literary, projecting refinement and a slightly dramatic, old-world polish. Its brisk italic movement reads as articulate and expressive rather than casual, lending a sense of formality and cultivated taste.

The design appears intended as a conventional, high-contrast text-serif italic that balances readability with expressive calligraphic stress. It aims to provide a polished italic companion for literary and editorial settings, offering a confident, classical tone without ornate excess.

The stroke modulation creates a bright page color at text sizes, with clear thick–thin transitions and crisp punctuation-like detailing in terminals. The italic forms maintain consistent slant and spacing, producing a smooth, continuous texture in longer lines while retaining sharp typographic bite in display settings.
