This is a high-contrast italic serif with a crisp, calligraphic construction and pronounced thick–thin modulation. Serifs are bracketed and finely tapered, with pointed terminals and wedge-like entries that emphasize forward motion. The capitals are relatively upright in proportion but clearly slanted, with narrow internal counters and sharp joins; the lowercase shows a flowing rhythm with a two-storey “a,” a single-storey “g,” and a long, clean “f” that reinforces the italic texture. Figures follow the same contrasty, slanted logic, pairing sharp spurs and curved strokes with a light, elegant overall color.

It works well for editorial typography where an italic voice is needed for emphasis—pull quotes, intros, captions, and highlighted passages—especially in books and magazines. The refined contrast and sharp details also suit formal materials like invitations or cultural branding when used at comfortable sizes.

The tone is traditional and cultivated, evoking bookish, editorial sophistication rather than casual informality. Its energetic italic angle and crisp detailing add a sense of ceremony and emphasis, suitable for expressive but still conservative typography.

The design appears intended to provide a classic, high-contrast italic companion for conventional serif typography—prioritizing elegance, forward rhythm, and a distinctly literary flavor while remaining usable for extended reading when sized appropriately.

Stroke endings tend to resolve into fine points rather than blunt cuts, which increases sparkle at larger sizes and can feel delicate in dense settings. The overall spacing appears moderately open for an italic, helping word shapes stay legible while maintaining a pronounced diagonal flow.
