A contrasted slab-serif with stout, rectangular serifs and clear thick–thin modulation through the bowls and joins. Serifs tend to read as blocky caps at terminals, while many curves show deliberate cut-ins and horizontal notches that create a chiseled, slightly mechanical rhythm. Rounds are generous and smooth but often intersected by sharp intrusions or flattened segments, producing a distinctive “carved” texture in counters and apertures. Uppercase forms feel sturdy and fairly wide, while the lowercase mixes compact stems with pronounced, sculpted bowls; figures follow the same language with strong horizontals and crisp corners.

Well-suited to headlines, posters, and editorial display where its slab structure and carved details can carry personality. It can also work for branding and packaging that wants a sturdy, heritage-leaning voice with a technical twist; for longer passages, it will be most comfortable at larger text sizes where the interior cuts stay legible.

The overall tone is bold and deliberate, balancing classic slab authority with a quirky, engineered edge. The repeated notches and capped terminals give it a vintage-industrial flavor—confident and slightly eccentric rather than purely traditional.

The design appears intended to hybridize a traditional slab-serif foundation with purposeful interruptions and cut-ins, creating a recognizable texture and a sense of crafted, mechanical precision. It aims for high visual impact and character while keeping letterforms broadly familiar and readable.

In text, the signature cut-ins and heavy slabs create a strong horizontal banding that becomes a defining texture, especially at larger sizes. Some letters show unconventional internal shaping (notched bowls and interrupted strokes), so the face reads most distinctively in display settings where those details remain clear.
