A high-contrast serif with a narrow overall set and crisp, tapered details. Vertical strokes dominate, while hairline horizontals and delicate joins create a bright, rhythmic texture in text. Serifs are fine and slightly flared with subtle bracketing, and many terminals finish in pointed, calligraphic wedges. Counters are relatively compact and the stroke modulation is consistent across capitals, lowercase, and numerals, giving the face a composed, print-like presence.

It performs especially well in editorial typography—magazine features, book typography, and elegant long-form layouts where contrast can add sophistication. The narrow proportions also make it useful for space-conscious headlines, subheads, and formal collateral such as invitations or programs where a refined serif voice is desired.

The font conveys a traditional, cultivated tone with a hint of drama from its sharp terminals and pronounced contrast. It feels suited to cultured, bookish settings—confident and authoritative without becoming ornate.

The design appears intended to modernize a traditional serif model through strong stroke modulation and subtly flared, tapered endings, producing a bright, refined texture that remains readable while adding a distinctive, crafted edge.

Capitals are stately and condensed, with strong vertical emphasis and clean, controlled curves. The lowercase shows lively, angled finishing strokes and slender ascenders/descenders that add sparkle at larger sizes. Numerals share the same contrast and tapered finishing, reading as elegant rather than utilitarian.
