A high-contrast italic serif with a strong calligraphic slant and crisp hairlines against weighty main strokes. Serifs are bracketed and often sharpen into beak-like terminals, giving the outlines a lively, carved feel. The rhythm is energetic, with noticeable stroke modulation and diagonal stress, while counters stay fairly open to support text setting. Uppercase forms read stately and slightly narrow in feel, and lowercase shows expressive joins and occasional swash-like curves, especially in letters such as a, f, g, and y.

Well suited to editorial headlines, subheads, and pull quotes where a refined italic voice is desired. It can also work for book and journal cover typography, formal invitations, and branding that benefits from classic serif sophistication. In longer passages, it will be most comfortable when given generous size and leading so the contrast and italic rhythm can breathe.

The overall tone is traditional and editorial, projecting authority and refinement with a touch of theatrical flair. Its pronounced contrast and italic movement add drama and elegance, suggesting bookish sophistication rather than utilitarian neutrality.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional text-serif foundation with heightened italic expressiveness—combining classical proportions with punchy contrast for emphasis and hierarchy. It aims to look polished and traditional while still feeling animated on the page.

Numerals follow the same italic, high-contrast logic, with curved forms (notably 2, 3, 5, and 9) showing pronounced terminals and a slightly decorative finish. In continuous text, the heavy-thin pattern creates a sparkling texture, so spacing and line length will influence how intense the page color feels.
