A high-contrast serif with crisp, bracketed serifs and clear calligraphic modulation through stems and joins. The capitals are stately and relatively wide, with sharp triangular terminals on forms like A and V and a gently flared, classical construction across the set. Lowercase shows an oldstyle flavor with a two-storey a and g, a compact ear on g, and a sturdy, readable rhythm; serifs remain clean and consistent without becoming slab-like. Numerals follow the same sharp, engraved logic, with strong thick–thin transitions and elegant curves, supporting both display sizes and text settings.

Well-suited to long-form reading in books and essays where a classical serif texture is desired, and it scales comfortably into magazine headlines and section titles. It also fits institutional or heritage-leaning branding, invitations, and packaging that benefit from a refined, traditional voice.

The overall tone is traditional and bookish, projecting authority and polish rather than novelty. Its contrast and crisp details add a refined, slightly ceremonial feel that suits established brands and editorial voices.

The design appears aimed at a conventional text serif with a distinctly classical, oldstyle-informed structure, balancing readability with a polished, high-contrast finish. The intent seems to be a dependable literary workhorse that can also provide elegant emphasis at larger sizes.

Stroke contrast is most pronounced in rounded letters (O, C, Q) and in diagonals (V, W, X), producing a lively texture. Apertures and counters remain reasonably open, helping the face stay composed in paragraphs while still feeling distinctly classical.
