A crisp, high-contrast serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and bracketed wedge-like serifs. Capitals are relatively broad with ample interior space, while the lowercase keeps a steady, traditional text rhythm with rounded bowls and tapered terminals. Curves are smooth and controlled, joins are clean, and the overall color is refined rather than heavy, giving text a polished, print-like presence.

Well-suited to book and long-form editorial settings where a refined serif texture is desired, and it also performs strongly in magazine layouts and formal headings. The strong contrast and generous proportions can add elegance to invitations, programs, and other print-forward typography that benefits from a classic voice.

The tone feels classic and literary, with a formal, authoritative voice suited to established editorial traditions. Its sharp contrast and poised detailing project sophistication and seriousness, lending a slightly ceremonial character to headlines while staying composed in running text.

The design appears intended as a conventional, print-oriented text serif that balances readability with a more polished, high-contrast finish. It aims to evoke established book and editorial typography while offering enough sharpness and presence to scale up effectively for display.

Numerals follow the same contrast-driven logic, with open counters and elegant curves (notably in 2, 3, 5, and 9). The lowercase shows conventional, readable forms with clear differentiation (e.g., single-storey g, tailed y, and a compact, curved-shoulder r), supporting a familiar reading experience.
