A wide, lightly built slab serif with crisp, unbracketed terminals and a steady, even rhythm. Strokes are predominantly monolinear with subtle contrast, and the serifs read as flat, rectangular caps that give the letters a structured, architectural feel. Curves are generously drawn (notably in C, O, Q, and S), while horizontals sit high in many forms (A, e), keeping the texture airy despite the expansive widths. Lowercase forms are fairly open and straightforward, with a single-storey a and g, and a long, slightly left-sweeping tail on q; numerals follow the same wide, steady construction.

Well-suited to editorial typography, book and magazine work, and other long-form settings where a calm, open serif texture is desired. The wide proportions and crisp slabs also make it effective for headlines, institutional branding, packaging, and display lines that benefit from a poised, formal voice.

The overall tone is composed and scholarly, balancing classic editorial seriousness with a slightly contemporary crispness. Its wide stance and clean slabs lend a measured, dignified voice suited to reading-oriented settings without feeling ornate or nostalgic.

The design appears intended to deliver a readable slab serif with a refined, open texture—combining sturdy, square serifs with wide proportions to create clarity and presence across both text and display sizes.

In text, the generous proportions and open interiors produce a light page color and clear word shapes, while the squared serifs add firm baseline and cap-line presence. The design’s wide set can become visually dominant in tight measures, suggesting it benefits from comfortable tracking and line length.
