A heavy, ink-saturated display face with aggressively rough contours and irregular interior counters. Strokes look carved or torn, with choppy edges, occasional spur-like protrusions, and uneven terminals that create a distressed silhouette. The rhythm is intentionally inconsistent—letters vary in apparent width and texture—while maintaining simple, mostly blocky skeletons that keep forms recognizable at larger sizes. Rounded letters like O/C show bumpy, eroded bowls, and straights (E/F/T) appear chipped, with notches and broken-looking corners.

Best suited for short, high-impact settings where texture is part of the message—titles, headers, poster work, packaging accents, and themed graphics. It works especially well when paired with a cleaner companion typeface for supporting copy, or when given generous tracking and size to preserve legibility.

The overall tone is ominous and abrasive, evoking aged signage, scratched paint, and horror poster typography. Its gnarly texture reads as uneasy and feral rather than refined, lending a sense of decay and tension.

The design appears intended to mimic damaged, organic lettering—like ink bleed, erosion, or torn edges—while keeping a straightforward, all-caps-forward structure for immediate recognition. The consistent distress pattern suggests it’s built to deliver atmosphere quickly in display contexts rather than for long-form reading.

In the sample text, the dense black color and rough perimeter create strong impact, but the coarse edges and crowded counters can reduce clarity in smaller settings. The numerals match the same distressed treatment, reinforcing a consistent, gritty texture across the set.
