A heavy, wide display serif with sharply chamfered corners and an overall octagonal, cut-from-blocks construction. Strokes are thick and fairly even, with small wedge-like serifs and frequent mid-height spurs that create a forked, notched silhouette on stems and joins. Counters tend toward squarish forms, apertures are tight, and the rhythm is dense, producing strong black texture in text. Capitals are especially broad and compact vertically, while lowercase maintains a sturdy, utilitarian structure with similarly angular terminals.

Best suited to posters, headlines, and short bursts of text where impact and character are priorities. It also works well for logos, labels, and signage that aim for a vintage Western or showbill mood, especially when set with generous spacing and at sizes where the interior details can open up.

The letterforms project a bold, frontier-meets-carnival tone—assertive, theatrical, and slightly ornamental. The spurs and faceted cuts add a vintage, woodtype-like flavor that feels confident and attention-grabbing rather than refined or quiet.

The design appears intended to evoke classic ornamental display lettering with a carved, woodblock sensibility, using spurs and chamfered geometry to create a memorable silhouette and high visual presence in large-format typography.

In the sample text, the compact counters and strong internal notches reduce clarity at smaller sizes, but the distinctive silhouette reads well at larger display sizes. Numerals match the same faceted geometry and heavy proportions, supporting cohesive headline setting.
