A sturdy text serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and bracketed serifs that taper into sharp, slightly flared terminals. The rounds (C, O, G, Q) show a clear vertical stress and smooth, compact curves, while joins and corners often end in small ball-like terminals that add warmth. Uppercase proportions are relatively broad and stable, with strong horizontals on E/F and a wide, open T. The lowercase is compact and rhythmically even, with a moderate x-height, sturdy stems, and rounded bowls; counters stay open despite the weight, aided by subtle ink-trap-like notches where strokes meet.

Well suited to editorial layouts, book and long-form reading environments, and institutional or academic materials where a stable, traditional voice is desired. It can also work for headlines and pull quotes when a dense, authoritative texture is beneficial, especially in print or high-resolution digital settings.

The overall tone reads traditional and editorial, with a confident, print-centric presence. Its crisp contrast and familiar serif vocabulary suggest seriousness and clarity, while the soft terminals keep it from feeling overly severe.

The letterforms appear designed to deliver a classic text-serif feel with strong color and reliable readability at typical reading sizes. The combination of high contrast, bracketed serifs, and softly finished terminals suggests an intention to balance formality with a slightly approachable, contemporary robustness.

Figures are sturdy and readable, with old-style flavor in the shaping and a consistent baseline presence. The italic is not shown; all samples present an upright roman. The design keeps a strong dark color in text, making it more suitable for comfortable, dense setting than for delicate or airy compositions.
