This is a high-contrast italic serif with a pronounced rightward slant and sharp, tapered entry/exit strokes. Serifs are finely bracketed and often wedge-like, with crisp, pointed terminals that reinforce a calligraphic, pen-informed construction. The rhythm is fluid and slightly variable in letter widths, with generous curves and a lively baseline movement in letters like the italic lowercase. Counters are moderately open, and the overall texture in text is smooth and continuous rather than rigid, with strong thick–thin modulation across stems and bowls.

Well-suited for long-form editorial settings where an italic voice is needed for emphasis, quotations, or secondary text, as well as refined display use in headings, pull quotes, and cultural or literary materials. It can also serve formal print pieces—such as invitations or programs—where a classic, high-contrast italic adds polish.

The font conveys a refined, literary tone with a formal, classical voice. Its italic energy feels expressive yet controlled, suggesting sophistication and a traditional editorial sensibility rather than a casual or contemporary mood.

The design appears intended to provide a traditional italic with strong calligraphic character and crisp detailing, balancing readability with expressive stroke modulation. Its proportions and spacing aim for a smooth text rhythm while preserving the elegance associated with high-contrast serif italics.

In the sample text, the italics create a continuous, elegant flow, and the contrast becomes more pronounced at larger sizes where hairlines and sharp terminals read as delicate details. Numerals appear oldstyle-leaning in spirit, maintaining the same slanted, calligraphic logic and high contrast as the letters, supporting consistent color across mixed text.
