A very heavy serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and sharply cut, bracketed serifs that often taper into wedge-like feet. Curves are generously rounded, with visible ball terminals in places (notably on the lowercase), while joins and terminals stay crisp and decisively finished. Proportions feel slightly compact in the lowercase with sturdy stems and tight apertures, and the overall rhythm is energetic due to the strong contrast and firm, sculpted serifs. Numerals and capitals carry the same weighty, carved look, with a consistent, print-oriented texture in lines of text.

Best suited to display settings where its weight and contrast can be appreciated—headlines, subheads, posters, and cover typography. It can also work for editorial pull quotes or branding that benefits from a classic, authoritative serif presence, particularly at moderate-to-large sizes where counters remain clear.

The font reads as confident and traditional, with a bold, old-style authority that suggests classic print and institutional gravitas. Its high-impact strokes and formal serif language give it a slightly vintage, headline-forward tone that feels serious and emphatic rather than casual.

The design appears intended to deliver a traditional serif voice with maximum emphasis: a sturdy, high-contrast structure paired with sculpted serifs and rounded terminals to create a distinctive, print-classic presence in display typography.

In text, the strong contrast and tight interior spaces create a dark, saturated color, especially at smaller sizes. The lowercase shows distinctive, rounded details (including a single-storey ‘g’ and pronounced terminals), which adds personality while keeping the overall voice conventional and grounded.
