A calligraphic serif with oldstyle proportions and a softly modulated stroke that reads as pen-informed rather than purely mechanical. Serifs are bracketed and rounded, with occasional beak-like terminals and gently swelling joins that give the outlines a drawn, organic feel. Curves are generous and slightly asymmetrical, counters stay open, and the overall rhythm is smooth and flowing without connecting strokes. Lowercase forms show a traditional book-face structure (two-storey a and g), while capitals are stately and evenly paced, creating a composed texture in paragraph settings.

Well-suited to book and long-form reading, editorial layouts, essays, and print-forward design where a classic, comfortable serif texture is desired. It also fits formal communications—programs, invitations, certificates—and brand systems that want a traditional, trustworthy signature with a subtle handwritten/calligraphic undertone.

The tone is formal and cultivated, with a quiet warmth that suggests traditional print, editorial credibility, and ceremonial polish. It feels more human and personable than a rigid textbook serif, while still maintaining an authoritative, classical voice.

The design appears intended to capture the refinement of classical serif typography while preserving the natural nuance of hand-driven strokes, producing a dignified text face with a personable, crafted finish.

Numerals and punctuation carry the same rounded, bracketed finishing, keeping color consistent across mixed text. Diacritics and dots appear clean and simple, and the type maintains steady readability in longer lines due to balanced spacing and restrained detailing.
