A dense, angular text face with broken, calligraphic strokes and sharp wedge terminals. Stems show strong thick–thin modulation with crisp internal cut-ins that create small counters and pointed joins, giving letters a faceted rhythm. Capitals are more ornate and compact, with pronounced spurs and notched bowls, while the lowercase keeps a tighter, more repetitive vertical structure typical of text blackletter. Numerals follow the same sharp, chiseled logic, with simplified forms and pointed endings that maintain a consistent color across mixed text.

Best suited to headlines, title treatments, posters, and branding where a historic or gothic voice is desired. It can also work for packaging and labels—especially for heritage, craft, or fantasy-themed products—when set with ample tracking and comfortable line spacing. For longer passages, it performs most reliably in short blocks or pull quotes at moderate-to-large sizes.

The overall tone is historic and formal, evoking manuscript and early print traditions. Its heavy presence and sharp details feel ceremonial and authoritative, with a slightly ominous, dramatic edge when set large.

The design appears intended to recreate a traditional blackletter look with strong contrast and crisp broken-stroke construction, balancing ornate capitals with a steadier lowercase texture for practical setting in titles and short text. The consistent wedge terminals and repeated vertical rhythm suggest an emphasis on cohesive page color and period character over minimalism.

At display sizes the notches and internal cuts read as intentional ornament and add texture; in smaller settings the tight counters and closely spaced dark strokes can merge, so generous size and spacing help preserve clarity. The capital set carries much of the personality and works well for initials, titles, and short emphatic phrases.
