A sturdy serif with subtly flared stems and bracketed, wedge-like serifs that broaden toward the ends. The stroke construction reads mostly low-contrast, but with noticeable tapering at terminals and gentle modulation where curves meet stems. Proportions are fairly classical: uppercase forms are broad and stable, while the lowercase is compact with clear, open counters and a straightforward rhythm. Details such as the two-storey “a” and “g”, the angled leg on “R”, and the balanced, softly sheared curves on “C/S” give the face a polished, print-oriented presence without feeling delicate.

It fits well for editorial typography—magazines, journals, and book interiors—where a classic serif voice and consistent texture are desired. The strong uppercase and firm serifs also support headlines, pull quotes, and identity work that benefits from a composed, institutional feel.

The overall tone is sober and confident, leaning traditional and academic rather than playful. It conveys a sense of editorial seriousness—appropriate for contexts where clarity and authority matter more than novelty.

The design appears aimed at a contemporary interpretation of traditional serif typography: keeping familiar proportions and readability while adding flared, tapered endings to sharpen the silhouette and improve presence at display and text sizes alike.

Round characters show clean, even curvature with restrained ink-trap-like tightening at some joins, and the numerals are robust and legible with conservative shapes. The punctuation and spacing in the sample text suggest a measured, text-friendly cadence suited to continuous reading.
