A high-contrast serif with a distinctly calligraphic skeleton and flared, bracketed endings. Vertical stems read crisp and steady, while joins and terminals taper smoothly, creating an energetic thick–thin rhythm. Serifs are more splayed than sharply boxed, and many strokes finish with subtle wedge-like shaping rather than blunt cuts. Round letters show slightly oval stress and clean, open counters; capitals feel stately with generous curves, while the lowercase maintains a balanced, readable x-height and clear differentiation between similar forms.

Well suited to editorial typography such as magazines, book interiors, and essay-style layouts where contrast and traditional serif detailing add sophistication. It also performs well for display uses—chapter openers, pull quotes, and cultural or academic branding—where a formal, literary voice is desired.

The overall tone is classical and literary, with a refined, slightly old-world sensibility. Its sharp contrast and flared finishing strokes add a touch of ceremony and drama without becoming ornate, giving text a composed, bookish authority.

The design appears intended to blend traditional, book-oriented serif proportions with expressive flaring and tapered terminals, producing a classic reading texture that still feels lively and crafted. The emphasis is on elegance and clarity, with enough contrast and shaping to give headlines and short text a polished presence.

The numerals and capitals carry a dignified presence suitable for headings, while the lowercase keeps enough restraint for longer passages. Curved forms and tapered terminals introduce a gentle, humanist movement that keeps the texture from feeling overly mechanical.
