A high-contrast serif italic with pronounced diagonal stress and crisp, bracketed serifs that often taper to wedge-like terminals. The capitals are steady and formal, with clean, sharp joins and slightly flared finishing strokes, while the lowercase shows a more calligraphic rhythm with lively entry/exit strokes and a consistent rightward slant. Curves are smooth and controlled, counters are moderately open, and the overall texture reads elegant rather than dense. Numerals follow the same italicized, high-contrast construction, with distinctive angled forms that keep the set cohesive in running text.

Well-suited for editorial typography such as book italics, magazine features, and long-form quotations where a traditional italic voice is needed. It also works effectively in refined display settings—titles, pull quotes, and formal invitations—where its high contrast and calligraphic energy can be appreciated at larger sizes.

The tone is classic and literary, evoking traditional book typography and editorial polish. Its slanted, pen-influenced shapes add a sense of motion and sophistication, making the voice feel refined and slightly ceremonial rather than casual.

Designed to provide a conventional, readable serif italic with a strong calligraphic foundation, pairing formal structure with expressive stroke endings. The intent appears to be an elegant companion style for traditional text settings while remaining distinctive enough for emphasized passages and display accents.

Stroke modulation is strong throughout, with thin hairlines and emphasized verticals creating a bright, sparkling page color at display sizes. Several lowercase forms show generous cursive inflections (notably in letters with descenders and looped joins), giving the italic a distinctly expressive, handwritten lineage while staying within conventional serif norms.
