A high-contrast serif with strong thick–thin modulation and an emphatically vertical rhythm. The serifs are refined and bracketed, often tapering into sharp, hairline terminals that give strokes a crisp, cut-metal look. Uppercase forms feel stately and wide, with prominent vertical stems and compact internal counters, while the lowercase shows smooth, rounded bowls and a clean, traditional construction. Curves exhibit a calligraphic stress and transitions are abrupt but controlled, producing a polished, editorial texture at text sizes and a striking sparkle when set large.

Well suited to magazine headlines, editorial typography, and book-cover titling where contrast and refinement are assets. It can also serve premium branding, invitations, and packaging that benefits from a traditional, high-fashion serif character, and it works particularly well for short to medium passages and prominent typographic moments.

The overall tone is classic and authoritative, with a fashion-and-publishing sophistication. Its sharp hairlines and dramatic contrast add a sense of luxury and ceremony, while the disciplined upright stance keeps it formal and composed.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional literary serif voice with heightened contrast and a wide, display-forward stance. It prioritizes elegance and impact through sharp detailing, vertical emphasis, and a carefully controlled thick–thin rhythm.

The figures and capitals share the same display-like contrast and crisp finishing, creating a cohesive voice across headlines and pull quotes. Wide proportions and tight inner spaces in several capitals amplify presence, but also make spacing and size choices important to avoid a dense, inky impression in long runs.
