A high-contrast serif with sharp, bracketed serifs and a crisp, engraved feel. Strokes show pronounced thick–thin modulation, with tapered terminals and clean hairlines that stay controlled rather than wispy. Proportions lean traditional: capitals are broad and steady, the x-height is modest, and ascenders/descenders are relatively long, giving text a vertical, book-page rhythm. Curves are smooth and slightly swelling at joins, while the overall color remains even and readable at paragraph sizes.

Well-suited to book and magazine typography, essays, reports, and other longform settings where a traditional serif texture is desired. It can also support restrained titling—chapter heads, pull quotes, and classical-feeling headings—especially in print-oriented layouts.

The tone is classic and literary, with a refined formality that recalls traditional book typography. Its contrast and carefully shaped serifs create a sense of polish and authority without drifting into decorative display territory.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, time-tested reading experience with a touch of refinement through strong contrast and carefully bracketed serifs. It prioritizes familiar letterforms and steady paragraph color, aiming for clarity and a formal, traditional voice.

Uppercase forms feel stately and well-balanced, with a round O and C and a Q featuring a distinct, calligraphic tail. Lowercase keeps a conventional structure with a two-storey g and compact counters; the overall texture in the sample paragraph reads calm and consistent, with clear word shapes and measured spacing.
