A sturdy serif with pronounced bracketed serifs and softly tapered terminals, rendered with deliberately irregular edges that mimic worn metal type or rough letterpress ink spread. Strokes show gentle modulation and slightly uneven contours, giving counters a subtly textured bite rather than crisp geometry. Proportions feel compact with a relatively low x-height and generous ascenders, while spacing and widths vary just enough to create a lively, analog rhythm in words and lines. Numerals and caps carry the same distressed, print-worn character, staying clear but intentionally imperfect.

Works well for headlines and short-to-medium passages where a vintage, printed patina is desirable—posters, labels, menus, book or album covers, and editorial callouts. It can also add character to branding systems that want a classic serif voice with a rough, tactile finish, especially at larger sizes where the distressed details read clearly.

The overall tone is antique and utilitarian, like archival printing, folk ephemera, or weathered signage. Its roughness reads as tactile and human, adding grit and authenticity without tipping into illegibility. The mood is grounded and nostalgic, with a hint of handmade craft.

The design appears intended to evoke traditional serif typography with the imperfections of aged printing—slight ink gain, worn edges, and uneven impression—while maintaining solid readability. It prioritizes atmosphere and materiality, giving layouts a period feel and a handcrafted, analog presence.

In the text sample, the texture becomes most apparent along verticals and at serif junctions, where the edges look chipped or softly broken. Round letters retain strong silhouettes, but the distressed perimeter prevents the face from feeling polished; it’s best treated as a display-forward serif rather than a neutral text workhorse.
