A high-contrast serif with sharply tapered hairlines and weighty vertical stems, producing a crisp, sculpted silhouette. Serifs are bracketed and finely cut, with pointed, wedge-like entry/exit strokes and occasional teardrop/ball terminals in the lowercase. Capitals feel tall and stately with pronounced thick–thin modulation and narrow internal apertures, while the lowercase shows traditional, slightly calligraphic shaping (notably in a, g, e, and y) and a steady, text-oriented rhythm. Numerals follow the same contrast pattern, with elegant curves and delicate finishing strokes.

Well suited to magazine and newspaper-style headlines, book covers, pull quotes, and other editorial typography where contrast and sophistication are desirable. It can also support premium branding and packaging applications that benefit from a classic, high-end serif voice. For long passages, it will likely perform best at comfortable print sizes where the fine hairlines remain clear.

The overall tone is refined and authoritative, with a distinctly editorial polish. The strong contrast and sharp detailing add a sense of drama and luxury, while the conventional proportions keep it grounded and readable. It conveys tradition and seriousness without feeling ornamental.

The design appears intended to deliver a traditional serif reading experience with heightened contrast and a polished, contemporary finish. It balances classical letterform conventions with sharper detailing to create strong hierarchy and presence in editorial settings.

Spacing appears generous enough for display sizes, and the contrast makes the thins visually sensitive on light backgrounds or at small sizes. The lowercase includes several distinctive terminal treatments that give words a lively texture, especially in running text and headlines.
