This typeface is a slanted serif with crisp, unbracketed slab-like terminals and a clean, even stroke rhythm. Letterforms are relatively compact with a pronounced forward inclination, while curves remain open and smooth, giving counters plenty of air despite the condensed feel. The capitals are upright in structure but consistently italicized, and the lowercase shows tall ascenders and a modest x-height, producing a vertical, bookish texture. Numerals follow the same italic construction with clear, straightforward shapes and firm slab endings.

Well-suited to editorial typography such as magazines, essays, and book interiors where an italic voice is needed for emphasis, captions, or subheads. The crisp slab terminals also make it effective for refined display lines—pull quotes, chapter openers, and short headlines—where a classic yet distinctive italic texture is desirable.

The overall tone feels literary and editorial, pairing classical italic manners with a slightly utilitarian crispness from the square slabs. It reads as composed and intelligent rather than flashy, suggesting formality and a measured, scholarly voice.

The design appears intended to deliver an elegant italic reading experience with added structural clarity from square, slab-like serifs. It aims to balance traditional serif proportions with a cleaner, more defined edge, making italic setting feel deliberate and highly legible.

In text settings the slant and compact proportions create a lively diagonal flow, with sharp serifs and terminals adding definition at small-to-medium sizes. The design’s firmness at stroke endings helps keep word shapes articulated, while the open bowls and clear joins prevent the texture from becoming overly tight.
