A crisp serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and bracketed, wedge-like serifs. The curves are smooth and disciplined, with fairly vertical stress and neatly tapered terminals that keep the texture clean at display sizes. Capitals feel stately and evenly proportioned, while the lowercase balances compact bowls with open counters; the two-storey forms (notably a and g) reinforce a traditional text-seriffed voice. Numerals follow the same high-contrast logic, with clear shapes and sturdy verticals that read well alongside the letters.

Well-suited to book and long-form editorial typography where a classic serif texture is desired, and it also performs strongly for magazine headlines and subheads that benefit from contrast and refinement. It can support brand identities seeking a traditional, established voice, and works nicely for formal materials such as programs, invitations, and certificates when set with generous spacing.

The overall tone is classic and editorial, projecting authority without feeling overly ornate. Its high-contrast rhythm and sharp finishing details lend a refined, bookish quality suited to formal communication and polished layouts.

The letterforms suggest an intention to provide a conventional, readable serif with an elevated, print-forward feel. High contrast and careful finishing appear aimed at creating a polished typographic color for editorial and formal display settings.

The design maintains a consistent cadence across the alphabet, with noticeable tapering into serifs and terminals that adds sparkle in headlines. Round letters (O, Q, C) show carefully controlled thick–thin transitions, and the italic-free, upright stance keeps the appearance measured and traditional.
